My name is Alexandru, but everyone calls me Alex. I'm 24, I live near Venice, Italy, and I'm a self-taught student who uses AI every day to study and work.

This blog comes from a frustration you might be feeling too. Every day brings new tools, new technologies, new ways of doing things. It's a chaos that constantly upends roadmaps and study plans for learning AI.

For a long time I believed I had to learn everything to keep up. A constant chase, where every plan felt like the definitive one until the next came along. Then I realized something: I was spending more energy preparing to learn than actually learning.

My fear wasn't that AI would replace me, but that I'd fail to grasp the real value of this transformation.

The biggest mistake I made was using AI as a substitute for my thinking instead of an extension of it. I learned that the quality of the answers depends on the quality of the questions. And that before asking a model anything, you need to answer a more important question: "What do I actually want to build?"

Today I'm not trying to become the world's best programmer. I want to understand how to move through a fast-changing world, and how to use these tools without outsourcing my thinking.

Here I collect experiments, mistakes, and reflections. You won't find shortcuts, but the journey of someone learning in public. If it helps you tell the signal from the noise, it will have done its job.
